Prologue
My Story
Finally, it was a dream come true moment for me. A few more steps and a few more moments and I would enter the Wonder of the World – the pyramid of the Giza !!
On this cool December morning in Egypt, I am going to witness the largest pyramid and tomb of the Fourth Dynasty Pharaoh, Khufu, and the royal treasures kept inside the pyramids to take adequate care of the king after death. Suddenly it was a ‘Bulb On Moment’ for me.
Why do we need material wealth after we die? Is there any better use of the wealth? Who is the best user of the wealth – Dead or the Living? Les Brown, the renowned American motivational speaker, once said “the graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and the dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step… or determined to carry out their dream.”
I am in complete sync with author Todd Henry that I need to unleash my best work everyday and die empty. In the same lines George Bernard Shaw, the famous Irish playwright wrote “I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live.
I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It is a sort of a splendid torch which I have a hold for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it over to the future generations.”
I also choose to die empty after handing over my torch to the future generations. Hence this is where the idea of forming “Achievers” was born.
The Road Ahead
I asked myself – what can be the best mode to share my knowledge, expertise and experience so as to die empty? How can the interested one be benefitted from such wisdom? What can be the preferred way to connect with the individual who is so eager to learn? What will happen to my insights after me?
Yet, no try, no win! I can’t win if I do not begin. My ideas won’t work if I don’t work. The question is where to start from!!! I remembered the quote by Peter Drucker, the Austrian-American management consultant, educator, and author, that “No one learns as much about a subject as one who is forced to teach it.
I understood a coach is someone who sees beyond limits and guides one to greatness. Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize growth. I told to myself it’s not going to be easy nevertheless I realise it going to be worth it. I decided to be a coach and trainer.
Life coaching takes care of all aspects of human life, mental and physical health; happiness and wealth; success and achievement; failure and disappointment.
