Baba Educational Society

The Baba Educational Society was established in the year 1999 in Lucknow as a Registered Society under the Societies Registration Act (Reg.No. 1064/1999). In the year 2000, a significant step was taken by the Baba Educational Society to setup a hospital, with an aim to serve the underprivileged section of the society. Hence, the hospital was setup in a small rural hamlet called Matiyari which is a part of Chinhat, Lucknow.

The hospital is named ‘BABA HOSPITAL’ after the name of SHIRDI SAI BABA so that the blessings of Sai Baba would always be with the hospital and to remind us to follow the path of his teachings. The Hospital is empanelled with leading corporate and insurance companies and several are in the process. The hospital treats and educates poor patients free of cost in the hospital (Outdoor/ Indoor) and Rural/ Semi Urban area by multi specialty camps.

Baba hospital is a multi-specialty, 175 bedded hospital with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The hospital provides 24x7, 365 days, round the clock emergency and ambulance services. The outdoor patient facility is provided in almost every field of medicine, such as Medicine,

Gynecology, Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dental and Physiotherapy. Apart from these, Super Specialties like Cardiac, Cardiothoracic, Neuro-surgery, and Plastic Surgery are also available at BabaHospital. The hospital has well equipped Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a Neonatal Care Unit(NICU) along with a Dialysis unit.

Major and Minor operation theatres of the hospital are having all kinds of equipments for surgeries. The operation theatre has facilities like C-Arm, Endoscope, Laparoscope, Cystoscope and Ophthalmic and ENT Microscopes, Ventilator, Cardiac Monitor & Defibrillator

The hospital also has radiology department having Ultrasound, X-Ray and a well equipped Pathology Department.The hospital has a well equipped Outdoor section for Physiotherapy, Refraction & Orthoptics Unit.

The hospital has self-contained campus, spread over 4 acres of land having separate General wards for males and females along with semi-private, private AC and non-AC rooms. It also has Nurses Quarters, Doctors Quarters, Employee Quarters and a 'Rain Basera' for the attendance of the patients. The hospital has an Auditorium having capacity of 600 seats provided to organize CME's from time to time for the staff. The total built up area is 87,000 sq.ft.ft.

The hospital also runs Saubhagyawati Surakshit Matritva Yojana programme (for BPL section) under which free-delivery and an incentive of Rupees Fourteen hundred is provided for the care of the mother and the new born.

It also provides free services to those living below poverty line (BPL Scheme). Every year on Republic day, Independence day and Gandhi Jayanti it organizes free medical camps with distribution of free medicines, tricycles for the physically challenged, and spectacles in the hospital as well as in rural areas around Lucknow.

The hospital also provides training of paramedics enrolled with the Institute of Paramedicals. The institute was setup by the Baba Educational Society in the year 2000. A three year course in General nursing and Midwifery was started in September 2003 which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council. The institution has got hostel facility for the students. It also has sufficient capacity for lecture halls, well equipped anatomy lab, fundamental lab, community lab, nutrition lab, computer lab and bus facility for the students.

The Institute is imparting training in following categories of paramedical courses- Physiotherapy, Orthoptics, Optometry, Pharmacy, Dental Technician, O.T. Technician, Sanitation and General Nursing and Midwifery.
