Our Story 

  • The Battery Café is located at 1 Duckworth St., St. John's NL,  at the entrance to The Battery neighborhood and the foot of Signal Hill. 
  • We provide top quality Detour coffee, baked goods, soup, sandwiches and salads in a warm, welcoming space that opens early, with a walkup window for hikers. Our food is made daily on site, for enjoyment inside or outside, or as a picnic for your hike. On Saturdays we host music by great artists from here and away. 
  • No matter when you come, you'll feel welcome at The Battery Cafe.
