Bean To Bar World Origins

  • In 2008 I began my journey into fine chocolate first working as a chocolate sommelier, then a chocolatier, and finally delving into bean-to-bar making. Today I focus on education instead of production.
  • Throughout the years I have researched and developed my own chocolate tasting curriculum and developed the website with a growing library of information on all things fine chocolate. I continue to share this knowledge with the public today in a way that is affordable and accessible. My goal is to free up quality chocolate information from behind paywalls, and make it more accessible to all who are willing to learn.
  • In 2017 I created the world’s first bean-to-bar chocolate maker world map to connect small-scale fine craft chocolate makers with consumers and offer them a free platform to connect with people around the world. In 2020 this map became the very first bean-to-bar app!

Mission

  • Bean To Bar World exists for the sole purpose of educating the public on fine chocolate. More specifically with a focus on bean-to-bar chocolate makers and the craft of chocolate making.
  • There is a great lack of understanding about chocolate and quality information online, and so I hope to elevate your understanding through both education & experience.
  • I also wish to make it easier for everyone to connect with incredible chocolate entrepreneurs from around the world & their fine products.
