The Calgary Flying Club is located at the Springbank Airtport, only a five-minute drive west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Club is nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies and only a short drive from Banff National Park, and since 1927 has provided a truly unique experience for our members.

Members are permitted full access to the Club’s facilities, training resources, and rental aircraft, receive a discount on aviation fuel purchased at our fully automated filling station and are invited to numerous member events throughout the year.

Love aviation but do not fly? You do not have to be a pilot to be a part of the Club! In fact, many of our members don’t fly – they just love having fun and want to help the Club promote public interest in aviation. You also don’t have to live in Calgary. The Club has many members who live all over Canada.

Vision:

To provide a diverse spectrum of training, access to aircraft and services, safely and at a reasonable cost, and actively engage with the Southern Alberta community to promote aviation and camaraderie among aviators.

We will provide inspiration and resources to all within Southern Alberta community to explore the joy of flight and create a passion for flying.

Mission:

The Calgary Flying Club is a member driven, non-profit organization that provides a broad spectrum of training, access to aircraft, learning and social activities, to promote enthusiasm and camaraderie amongst aviators.

To that end, the CFC runs a professional flight training school providing training for private pilot to airline transport pilot licensing. By providing a service to members, the club encourages the continual improvement of aviation skills. By inspiring aviators, the club is committed to the active retention of existing members, and the recruitment of new members.
