Our Story

Hello! I’m Hetal Shah, founder at Clay Montessori.Not happy with my son’s pre-schooling at leading pre-school, which employed the “play-way” method of teaching, I was looking for answers!I stumbled upon “Montessori” montessori method of teaching. Based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play, Montessori children make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the highly trained teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process. The scientific principles made sense to me.One thing lead to another, and I ended up being an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) trained teacher.Having worked for Harmony Montessori, one of the leading Montessori schools in Mumbai, I mastered the psychological & physiological nuances of teaching.With guidance from my serial entrepreneur husband, Clay Montessori took shape.
