About Us

  • Founder and lead instructor Pam Williams has been an influential member of the fine chocolate industry since 1981 when she opened her shop Au Chocolat, in Vancouver, Canada. Ten years later, she sold the business and found another passion in the world of online education at the University of British Columbia in the continuing education department. But Pam never left the world of fine chocolate behind.
  • People would ask her where they could get training to open a chocolate business, and a lightbulb went off. Using all the pieces of her professional background, Ecole Chocolat was born.
  • Pam now runs the business with her niece and partner Alysha Kropf who shares Pam’s passion for chocolate and has fond memories of helping Pam in her chocolate shop as a little girl.
