This course provides a broad based introduction to ergonomics principles and their application in the design of work, equipment and the workplace.

Noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) is a serious and potentially debilitating industrial disease which is recognised as the most prevalent industrial disease in Singapore.

This course describes the general approach to health risk assessment, including the role of atmospheric monitoring, selection of the appropriate equipment to measure specific airborne contaminants and devising a suitable sampling strategy.
