Our teachers are all CELTA-qualified; many are Delta-qualified. Both teaching qualifications represent excellence in English teaching and are assessed by the University of Cambridge.

Many of our teachers are also teacher trainers and some are published authors in ELT.Our founder, John Haycraft, pioneered the first teacher training qualification, now known as the CELTA and run by the University of Cambridge. Worldwide, the CELTA is still the industry standard for teachers.

Teaching for over 65 years, International House London predates the now global brand International House World. We are now part of a global network of 160 independent schools.

We have pioneering partnerships. We are the only school to offer the Distance Delta in partnership with the British Council for advanced teachers. We were the first school in London to offer face-to-face OET preparation courses for medical English.

We are one of the largest IELTS test centres in Europe and an accredited centre for Cambridge exams, BULATS for business English and OET for medical English. Other schools send their students to us to sit their exams.
