Is to honor, preserve, and share the history and heritage of Japanese Canadians and Japanese culture in Canada.
Since September 22, 2000, our multi-use space, featuring a Japanese Canadian garden located in Burnaby, BC, has offered unique programming, exhibits, and events, as a community place open to all.
Within the museum repository we care for 3000+ objects, 52,500+ photographs, 50+ meters of textual records, 670+ oral history recordings, and 191 film reels of historically and culturally significant items.
Community engagement and best practices ensure the legacies of people of Japanese ancestry in Canada live on into the future.
