Jhinook was put into training in creative Dance when she was only 3 years old at Mamata Shankar Troupe by her parents with deep musical interests.

After 11 years of practicing creative dance, Jhinook realized her passion for the classical dance form….Bharatanatyam.

It has been a rather pleasant journey for Jhinook, paving her way through the avenues of ‘Bhava’, ‘Raga’, ‘Tala’, under the sublime shadow of the maestro Guru Smt. Thankamani Kutty, at Kalamandalam, Kolkata.

A long meticulous spell of training followed which honed her natural talent and innate sense of artistry to perfection. Jhinook is a danseuse in Bharatnatyam with potentiality and vitality.

Her nympathic and subtle movements in Bharatnatyam expose her possibilities of emerging as a leading Bharatnatyam exponent in the future.
