Devjani Sen has been learning odissi since 1980 when she started her rigorous and intensive training under the tutelage of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata.
Students attend classes twice a week for duration of one and a half hour. A key aspect of the initiation process is the annual day program where all students are encouraged to participate.
