Hi - I'm Jacqui and I'm completely in love with clay. The alchemy of earth, water and fire. The endless possibilities and unpredictability of the outcome. I'm not a production potter. I prefer making one-off individual and series of pots, bowls, plates, vases and cups.
I particularly love working with porcelain. It's delicate but tough, pure, translucent and infinite in possibilities. I also like to experiment with earthenware, stoneware and terracotta. ​ I throw on the wheel in my studio and also hand-build vessels, experimenting with numerous shapes, colours, glazes and textures. ​
Each piece is unique. They are truly one-off pieces or series. Hand made with love and passion. Feel the potter's energy in each vessel. ​ My studio is based in Hampton and I run classes at Le Studio Art Space in Mordialloc
Discover the joys and mindful pleasure of throwing clay on a wheel. No experience needed - just patience. However, this short course is also perfectly suitable for intermediate potters who have done a wheel-throwing course or two and want to practise or refine their skills.
