Paramita Center

The Paramita Center in Quebec organizes various activities, including teachings, meditations, retreats, initiations and other Tibetan Buddhist ceremonies.The main teacher and spiritual master is Lama Lobsang Samten, a geshe (doctor of Buddhist philosophy) whose teachings originally come from Siddharta Gautama, who lived over 2500 years ago in India. The lineage of teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to which the Paramita Center is attached, comes directly from this first historical Buddha.

The vision of the Paramita Center corresponds to that of its founder and spiritual master, Lama Samten. It mainly consists of bringing the teachings of the Buddha to wherever there is a demand. The Paramita Center constitutes, in this sense, an instrument to achieve this.Buddhist teaching has one goal: happiness. To achieve this, there are two methods: compassion (non-violence) and wisdom (right understanding).
