Puja Awachat’s English Training Academy

Puja Awachat’s English Training Academy by itself is a rather new enterprise. However, as its Proprietor and Facilitator at the academy, I have about 15 years of teaching experience. With an M.A. in English from Pune University, M.Ed. from S.N.D.T. University, and P.G.D. (Educational Administration) from Symbiosis, I have taught English language to students at various levels.

In order to help my students acquire good communication skills in English, I have experimented with various methodologies that yielded the desired results. After 4 years at Sinhgad Institute, Pune I joined Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI), Pune where I taught the subjects ‘English Language Skills’ and ‘Technical Report Writing’ to 1st and 3rd year students respectively.

Simultaneously, I was attached with BITS, Pilani and taught ‘Business Communication’ as part of their Work Integrated Learning Program at Wipro, TechMahindra, TACO and Kirloskar for several years. I also have three paper publications in the area of English language enhancement in national and international journals to my credit.

In addition to this, I have trained employees at Mphasis (Course – ‘Language Enhancement’) and Rosler SurfaceTech Pvt. Ltd., Pune (Course – ‘Professional Communication’) which has equipped me with the experience of corporate training as well.

After 9 years at TMI, I ventured into freelancing and took up many assignments to train candidates aspiring to move abroad with IELTS, PTE and TOEFL. Many years of teaching experience at college enabled me to administer quality training during my time as Freelancer.

As I had previously dealt largely with students weak in English, I am now able to provide proper guidance and practical tips for language improvement to my students so that they can easily obtain the score of their choice in IELTS, PTE and TOEFL.

Also, my simple and easy-to-use techniques prepare my students well with enhanced English language skills for their workplace ensuring accurate and effective communication via my customized modules of the Business Communication course.

Furthermore, I have written more than 80 SOP’s in the last six months for technical as well as non-technical study programs in foreign universities.

With a good amount of professional experience supplemented with an educational qualification right for English Language training, I started my own training center for IELTS, PTE, TOEFL and Business Communication in September, 2018. Alongside this, I am attached with Modern College of Engineering as well as Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune as Guest Lecturer.
