Benefits for the Community
It is well noted that community members take pride in seeing local athletes shine. The QBA desires to provide the opportunity for local badminton players and coaches to improve and excel at a national level. In doing so, it provides the means that allows the community to both identify and support their athletes. This will contribute to an enhanced collective image and positive outlook for local citizens. In that sense, every community member has the opportunity to benefit from those athletes who represent their suburb, city and state.
The QBA delivers badminton to the community through:
Memberships
There are two categories of members:
A social membership is for players who participate in non-competition club activities only (eg. social sessions at a club).
For players who wish to play in a QBA sanctioned activity they must be a Registered (full/competition) member. Such activities include:
Note that all Open tournaments (ie. contains ranking points) will also be listed on the National Calendar on the Badminton Australia website.
Social members can upgrade to be a Registered (full/competition) member by paying the price difference between the Social and Registered fee at their club. The expiry date for the upgraded membership remains the same.
We are able to visit schools in order to assist with badminton, or we can implement badminton from Grade 1 to Grade 12 (half or full day). These visits are done on a chargable basis and the costs will be invoiced.
