Roopkala Kendro is an autonomous body under the Information and Cultural Affairs, Govt. of West Bengal. The Executive Council and the Governing Council of the Society have important personalities from administration, academics, film and social communication studies, and television production and planning.
The Academic Council of the society advises it on important matters of academic decision-making and consists of filmmakers, television production personalities, and academicians of repute.
The Director and CEO of the Institute is the Secretary of the Society and is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Kendro.
