Here at Sharon Saunders Dancers (SSD) we pride ourselves on a non-competition school environment, with over 100 years of technical teaching experience. We are located close to the heart of Bendigo and provide a nurturing, safe and friendly environment for all who come and join our SSD family. Our children’s dance classes are planned utilising The Australian Teachers of Dancing syllabus.
This syllabus is internationally recognised, and individualised, to ensure children receive age appropriate training that offers a progressive, safe and rewarding technical progression. We are to have nurtured and supported students who have been with us from preschool to adulthood, and some now even teachers themselves!
We will be teaching the newly created Jazz Magic syllabus for this age group by Australian Teachers of Dancing in 2019. It is an exciting syllabus taught to all of the kids favourite, upbeat music from lots of recent movies. we will also teach some Hip Hop and Tap in this combo class.
Tap is studied through the A.T.O.D. Ltd syllabus. Restore your tapping enthusiasm with fresh combinations specific to various tempo, style and ages.
Hip Hop is a popular class. An energetic, action packed session learning varied street styles to popular tunes.
Contemporary, or modern dance, is a classically based style that explores new types of movement to portray an intention or display the abilities of the human body.
Ballet is the foundation of dance. Ballet classes and A.T.O.D. Ltd ballet exams are encouraged in conjunction with other dance styles in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo. Students study the A.T.O.D. Ltd syllabus gaining lifelong benefits of co-ordination, flexibility, strength, poise & improved posture.
