Based out of Thrissur in Kerala, Smart Media College committed itself to develop manpower for Kerala's slowly awakening Media and Entertainment sector. In doing so, the firm not only pioneered a brand new industry—the media training segment—but also fueled the fire of entrepreneurship in the state. Today, Smart Media College is one of the best animation schools across India. Within a few years of rapidly expanding its presence in the hometown, Smart Media College launched its most impressive innovation yet a path-breaking Media Supported Scholarship Project named ‘Smart Multimedia Scholarship Program’ in association with Kerala’s popular Malayalam daily Malayala Manorama. Using this model, Smart Media College transformed many young Keralites from average families into ambitious entrepreneurs, focused on providing high-quality media training, efficiently and profitably.

The project was aimed to reach the talents from average families, and make it possible for them to study highly expensive media studies in a cost-effective manner in their hometown itself. “It was this unique effort, and its completely fresh approach to develop and grow the media training market that enabled Smart Media College to achieve its vision of the early days and emerge as a leading media education brand in Kerala. Today, as we celebrate our 18th anniversary, we are proud of the moment when we took the decision to design such a project because of which more than 30,000 students have successfully completed their training and got placed in good companies, and became the strong pillars of their families,” speaks Regi N.
