The Indian  Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation is a national, independent, charitable organization that works to prevent drowning and water-related injury through its training programs, Water Smart public education, aquatic safety management services, drowning research, and lifesaving sport.

Annually, over 10,000 Indians participate in our swimming, lifesaving, lifeguard, and leadership training programs. As India’s lifeguarding expert The Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation sets the standard for aquatic safety and certifies India’s National Lifeguards.

The Federation represents India internationally and we are India’s Associate  Member in the International Life Saving Federation &Member of the International  Federation of Swimming Teachers Association  We are the governing body for lifesaving sport – a sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee and the Commonwealth Games Federation.

Disaster Management

Disaster Management comprises of survival swimming lessons, endurance swimming, rescue swimming, dry and wet lifesaving in floods, motor boat operation, IRB and OBM maintenance, rescue with rescue boat, snake handling, pathogenic diseases in floods and their precautions.

First Aid is immediate care of an Illness or Injured Person before professional medical help is available. Skills are needed to take care of the 4 As i.e Awareness-Assessment-Action-Aftercare of a victim for immediate assessment to reassure, restore breathing and stop bleeding.
