Respond to Fire Incidents in Workplace aims to equip learners with the skills necessary to handle a relatively simple fire incident which might happen anywhere in the workplace.

Course Objectives to equip trainees with the basic knowledge on how to respond to fire emergency and safe use of portable fire extinguisher and fire hose reel.

The Certificate in Fire Safety and Emergency Management Course (CFSEM Course) is supported by Civil Defence Academy (CDA). Particpants who successfully pass the prescribed examination and attend at least 80% of the course will be awarded the Certificate of Achievement.

This training provides trainees with the essential knowledge and skills to function as a member of an emergency response team in order to implement the emergency response skills during a fire incident in workplaces.

To provide course attendees with comprehensive understanding on the operation, maintenance, inspection and testing procedures of fire protection systems in buildings.

To enable participants to qualify as competent persons in the inspection, maintenance and recharging of fire extinguishers.Such qualified persons are required for a fire extinguisher service workshop to be registered with TUV SUD as an approved workshop.

Trainees will gain the skills and knowledge of the fire prevention and basic techniques and equipment required to be a first responder for a fire situation within their working environment.
