Forklift training Course & Certification is a OSHA  approved and is now held in Maryland/ Washington DC / and Va  our training requires both classroom and hands-on experience. Although the operation of a forklift is similar to that of a car, there are important differences.

Participants will learn the OSHA requirements, how they affect companies and how to comply with the standards. This course is designed to give the tools and knowledge needed to return to work and teach forklift operators OSHA requirements.

Forklift Safety is a training course for new or current forklift operators that cover forklift design, controls and instrumentation, comprehensive pre-use inspection, forklift stability and factors affecting stability. Training includes hands-on activities and demonstration of proficiency.

Forklift Operator Safety training is offered by Portland State University. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) supports the PSU community by providing a safe and healthy University environment.

This course is designed to develop the skills needed to train forklift operators in compliance with OSHA and Cal/OSHA standards. Classification, safe operation, and OSHA trainer regulations will be emphasized.

This safety training includes a combination of formal classroom instruction, demonstrations and practical exercises performed by the trainee, and an evaluation of the operator’s performance.

Only trained and competent operators shall be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck. All powered industrial truck operators must be trained and certified per OSHA  29 CFR 1910.178(l).
