This four hour session provides guidance on identifying asbestos containing materials, understanding the risks posed by asbestos and how to manage and work safely in areas where asbestos may be suspected or confirmed.

The Cert IV WHS program is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

This course is for any person who is carrying out work involving removal of more than 10m2 of bonded non-friable asbestos, asbestos containing material (ACM) or asbestos containing debris (ACD).

This course covers the skills required to supervise removal of friable and/or non-friable asbestos. This comprises face-to-face classroom learning, and development and presentation of an asbestos removal plan. Holders of State Regulator issued licences may apply for recognition of prior learning
