Intensive and practical:
The course includes skill-building, an optional Level 3 qualification and a personal project piece designed and made by the student. It includes 400 hours of scheduled bench time supervised by the tutor.
The workshops include a cabinet-making bench for each student, a tool kit sufficient for completing the course, and a separate dedicated machine shop which includes a range of small industrial quality floor standing and benchtop machinery.

The course covers the correct use of tools, gives students the chance to learn and improve their skills, to create basic joints and methods, suitable for various tasks.
The BWRP workshop is always a hub of activity. Our staff strive to teach our volunteers the skills they need to create and build furniture from reclaimed timber, as well as giving them the confidence to start projects of their own.
DIY course is offered by Peter Bedford Housing Association for beginners. Learn the skills & confidence to do basic home maintenance.
This is a one day workshop course making 3-legged stool from hardwood, some elements of which have been preformed. You will spend the day making the stool, using materials and hand tools provided, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
