What are the different styles and what is the difference?

This a common question I get a lot. There are so many different terms that essentially mean the same thing. It gets confusing! For example, you have heard the term powder brow or ombre powder brow. Powder brow is term for the technique being done. It is really just a term for shading. If you want to see the different types of technique and the description, see below!

Microblading

• Microblading is meant to simulate hair strokes. A manual tool is used to create hair like strokes. The hair strokes will be in the direction of existing hairs. Works best with already existing eyebrows.
• Microblading would be best for dry to normal skin type.
• Can last up to a year.
• Not recommended for mature skin.

Powder Brows

• Powder brows are a popular style. A machine tool is used to create pixels on the brows with pigment. The pixels are layered so when it heals, it gives a make up powder effect. Similar to powdered makeup.
• Powder brows are great for all skin types.
• It can last anywhere from 2-3 years, depending on lifestyle.

Combo Brows

• Combo brows is the best of both worlds! Microblading in the front and shading throughout the body of the brows. It gives a natural look, yet still a little make up look. A manual tool is done for the microblading and machine tool for shading.
• Best for all skin types.
• It can last up to 2-3 years, depending on lifestyle.

Natural Combo Brows

• The next commonly requested is the natural combo look. This is a combination of both microblading and shading. The difference between the traditional and natural combo is there are more hair strokes throughout the eyebrows than shading. There is very light shading done, enough for the brow to look natural without having it look too make up like.
• Best on all skin types
• It can last up to 2 years or more depending on skin type.
