Have you ever wondered what it would be like to learn to make a pot on the pottery wheel? Want to follow the entire process - from throwing, to trimming, and even glazing your own work?
I invited you to join our small-group pottery wheel classes, consisting of seven classes held at the same day and time each week, over seven weeks.
These classes are suitable for first timers through to those with intermediate experience who are looking to developing their skills with more exposure and practice. You will find supportive guidance in a small group of five (maximum), with the tools necessary to make your own functional and decorative ceramics.
Ceramic artist and clay coach. Creating functional art for the home and garden. Small group workshops and private tuition.
The class will focus on developing the basic techniques of wheel throwing: centering clay, throwing tall cylinders, cups, bowls, turning and basic glazing.
The beginners' pottery class package consists of three 2-hour classes, where you learn to throw, trim and glaze basic cylindrical pieces of pottery. These three pottery classes have to be spread over the span of 3 weeks to allow time for your pottery to dry and get fired
To offer students and practitioners of the potter’s wheel a two-day intensive throwing workshop, to help students build on their own skills and develop their own styles.
NDIS classes are held in Fiona's home studio. Classes are one on one and run for approximately 1.5 hours (negotiable). Morning / Afternoon tea supplied. Students work on a range of projects suited to their abilities and interests.
Within this all day all inclusive workshop, you will learn the ancient and refined craft of using the pottery wheel in our breezy jungle studio.
