This Bookkeeping course is ideal for anyone looking to learn basic accounting skills including single-entry bookkeeping, as well as learning about the wider business environment. You don’t need any previous accounting experience or qualifications, just a willingness to learn!

We will introduce you to role of the bookkeeper and the basic techniques needed to complete simple bookkeeping activities. Whether you're thinking about changing career, own a small/micro business and need to maintain your financial records, or taking your first step towards a career in accounting... this course is perfect for you.

The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) are the UK's leading professional body for vocational accountants. Working across the globe with around 130,000 members in more than 90 countries.

AAT members are represented at every level of the finance and accounting world, including students, people already working in accountancy and self-employed business owners.

How often does this course run?

This course runs two times a year, starting in September and January.

You will be notified of the next available start date once you have submitted your application.

Entry requirements

  • There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however it is recommended that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and maths

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve the AAT Level 1 Access Award in Bookkeeping.
