Imperial Academy is a registered school with the ‘Royal Academy of Dance’ and ‘Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing’ it is also an ‘Approved Centre’ for ISTD Teacher Training.
We offer classes and examinations in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap and Acrobatics, for children from the age of 3 to adult, students can also have opportunities to perform on stage, through taking part in dance festival competitions.
Ballet teaches the basic technique for all forms of dance and for this reason we advise that all students attend at least one Ballet class a week.
Whilst examinations are not compulsory, they are of benefit to students to help them reach their full potential.
However, students who wish to take examinations MUST attend at least ONE Ballet class per week. All examinations are Qualifications and Curriculum Authority Approved (QCA)
Beginners Acro are offered by SD Studios. Founded by professional performer Sarah Smith, SD Studios aim to give students the highest possible level of performing arts training to create well rounded, "triple threat" performers.
This class is a favourite among many of our students. Everyone loves the opportunity to try new and exciting things. Our amazing instructor makes sure everyone gets individual attention while keeping the class collaborative.
Acro Dance course is offered by London Dance Academy. Our studio classes offer a rich way of learning, where you can learn skills from our world-class teachers face-to-face. We offer classes for all skill levels from complete beginners to professional artists.
Acro Minis classes are offered by Zayna Dance Academy. Our goal is to give each individual dancer the tools they need to take dance as far as they dream to take it.
