Her love of teaching and developing children and young people has seen her provide many scholarships over the years for those in the community who may not otherwise be able to afford to dance.
This discipline places emphasis on athleticism, agility, strength, control, flexibility and balance. We believe here at WADPA, that being an all-round performer, acro dance is very important to study and it also compliments other genres such as ballet and jazz.
These classes do not follow a syllabus but are proving to be very popular thanks to shows like “BGT and World of Dance”.
It is a strength and conditioning class that's focuses on correct and safe skill development and techniques.
The emphasis will be on flexibility, strength, balance and endurance exercises. Time will also be spent on tumbling, leaps and partnered balancing exercises.
All Acro classes will follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus working towards Acro exams in October. Exams are optional but lots of fun!
