Students are taught in a safe environment with excellent teachers on matting until confidence is gained. Basic tumbling skills can be an added bonus for any dancer.
A dancer will gain more flexibility and upper body strength, giving them a substantial advantage in today's demanding choreography.
It is an excellent way to learn spatial awareness, an important element in partnering and ensemble work. Acrobatics classes are open to students from 10 years and above. Tumbling mats are supplied.

Whether seeking a career in dance or learning for fun, all students are given every opportunity to achieve, and are encouraged to perform to their greatest potential.
Children as young as 3, will learn to relate movement to music, enhancing their rhythm, co-ordination and appreciation of music itself. Freedom of movement and use of imagination is very important and is encouraged from a very early age.
The dance industry is forever changing, and we believe it is of great importance to keep up with change and progress, with particular emphasis on training techniques and safe dance whilst also keeping up to date with the latest dance styles. At Turning Pointe we endeavour to deliver as many workshops as we can to the students, giving them the opportunity to work with other dance professionals in the industry from all over the world.
Young children, both girls and boys, benefit greatly from such wonderful interaction with each other through dance, and learn that they can do great and marvellous things if they use their minds and bodies. With this, comes an increased level of concentration and self-esteem as well as an enhanced sense of overall grooming, carriage and deportment of the whole body.

Tumbling is a skills based class designed to teach the basic to advanced Acrobatic/Tumble skills. These skills can include cartwheels, handstands, round offs, back and front walkovers, ariels, back handsprings, back tucks and much more!
Acrobatics combines flexibility, strength, and balance to achieve amazing skills. Students learn to tumble in a safe and controlled environment, with the use of progression based learning.
We have both Intro to Acrobatics and Advanced Acrobatics at Upstaged Dance. Our intro to Acrobatics classes will focus on strength and flexibility as well as simple tumbling and balancing to begin.
Acrobatics at Dance Central follows the Acrobatic Arts Academy syllabus, and we currently offer two levels across a variety of ages.
A fun and exciting class that focuses on developing core stability, strength, technique and flexibility.
