Commonly referred to as Acro, these classes are a type of gymnastics but more of a beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements.

Acro includes balancing, limbering and partnering based on flexibility, contortion and strength and we are very fortunate to have not one but two Tumble Tracks that can also be fixed together to maximise tumbling space to enable our students to gain greater distance and height.

We are a dance school that is quite literally never standing still and so if you want your child to enjoy learning the love of dance in a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment, then please bring them along to join ‘STUDIO4DANCE' we promise they will be made to feel very welcome and a valued member of our wonderful dance family! 
 
Our school, previously named ‘The Susan Holman School of Dance’ has been established for over 45 years and was founded in 1971 by Miss Holman.
 
Miss Sharon was a pupil of Miss Holman’s since 1975 and had been teaching alongside her since 1995 and Miss Ellie joined the school as pupil in 1994 and joined the teaching staff in 2010.
After many years of success, Miss Holman retired from teaching in July 2016 and we were both honoured to be offered the opportunity to take over the school and our own personal mission since that time, has been to further its potential and growth with a careful and considered approach. 
 
Our very first step (if you pardon the pun!) was to give the school a new vibe and identity, so that is how the name change came about and so in August 2016, ‘STUDIO4DANCE’ was formed.
Since that time, we are extremely proud that we have succeeded in our aim to grow the school carefully thereby ensuring that we can stay true to our aim and that we continue to do so and this continued growth has enabled us to recruit two team members who we chose very carefully to ensure that they matched our schools’ ethos: 
 
September 2017, we appointed Miss Hollie Dawson who joined us to teach all our Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) Ballet and Pointe Ballet classes and Acrobatic Arts. 
 
September 2020, we welcomed Miss Juliet Richards who joined us to teach Modern Jazz, Tap (B.T.D.A.) and Contemporary dance and the latest addition to our timetable ‘Hip Hop Heels’. 
 
By having other teachers working alongside us, has enabled us to add more classes to our already varied timetable across a wide spectrum of dance genres i.e., Musical Theatre, BalletBums, Tumbling and not one, but five Street Dance Classes! 
 
We are a progressive school however, we do identify that your child's happiness and their physical and emotional wellbeing should be considered above all else and recognise that ‘glitzy costumes and tricks’ will never be as important as your child’s wellbeing, so rest assured that they (and their feet!) will be safe in our hands…!
