On completion of this course you will know:
The Legislative Regulations pertaining to working from heights
How to define Employer and Employee responsibilities
How to differentiate between the types of Fall Protection; Fall Arrest and Fall Restraint
How to identify the components of Fall Protection
How to assess and select anchor points
How to calculate Free Fall, Total Fall and Clearance Required distances
How to care for and maintain Fall Protection equipment and when to remove it from service
How to properly inspect, adjust and fit a body harness
Basic rescue requirements
The Alberta Construction Training Institute (ACTI) located in Edmonton and Calgary is a training company with a combined experience of over 100 years in Construction, Engineering and Management training fields.
ACTI instructors have been instructing health, safety, management and engineering training in Alberta for over 20 years. Our focus is on construction safety and training through classroom and advanced instructional skill evaluation both with traditional equipment and our virtual reality simulations. Confined Space Entry course is offered by Camosun Coastal Centre. The Camosun Coastal Centre (CCC) brokers training to enhance workforce development in the shipbuilding industry.
This course is designed to provide the student with the basic skills necessary to use the Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (S.C.B.A.). Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
Confined spaces are any areas that are partially or fully enclosed and are not designed or intended for continuous human occupancy, but are large enough to enter.
This modular training program is for members operating any mobile crane with a lifting capacity of 0 to 8 tons including any of the following crane types: articulating (knuckle) boom, telescoping boom, radial boom derricks (RBDs), sign erectors, or carry deck industrial-type cranes.
