The Alberta Construction Training Institute (ACTI) located in Edmonton and Calgary is a training company with a combined experience of over 100 years in Construction, Engineering and Management training fields.
ACTI instructors have been instructing health, safety, management and engineering training in Alberta for over 20 years. Our focus is on construction safety and training through classroom and advanced instructional skill evaluation both with traditional equipment and our virtual reality simulations. We have also just developed a 40 hr training course based on the Construction Industry Institute (CII) and Construction Owners of Alberta Association (COAA) best practices with multi discipline work packaging for Advanced Work Face Planning.
ACTI has created multiple VR construction simulations for the industrial, commercial, vendor product and public emergency response sectors. This course covers all aspects of project management, from how a project is selected for development to its engineering, procurement, construction and finally handover of the built facility to the client. Students will learn how project management is actually done in practice.
This is the ACTI National Fall Protection program. It is the government approved Ontario Working at Heights program and 8 additional provinces (excluding NL) and 3 territories specific legislative requirements covering applicable OH&S, CSA & ISO standards
This course is 8hr with 4 hours of classroom instruction on critical lift procedures and management of the critical lift. Practical’s are completed in the remaining 4 hours, which are completed in our Virtual Reality simulator where the participants will be able to complete a critical lift
The Alberta Construction Training Institute’s (ACTI) Overhead Crane training is 8 hours in duration and is designed for hoist operators. The training material is designed to give operators the necessary knowledge of equipment, safety principles, and operation
The Alberta Construction Training Institute’s (ACTI) course is 6-8 Hr depending on experience. Compact or Mini Excavators are tracked or wheeled vehicles that are mostly used for digging and lifting but can also be used with a wide variety of attachments.
