They normally come with an independent swing boom and a backfill blade. Operators must develop a good understanding of how both the blade and boom operate
This course describes how to safely operate the excavator, and includes a review of regulations, site hazards, safety features, inspection procedures and emergency planning. There is both classroom training as well as limited hands-on training.

The goal of this course is to enable learners to identify the basic types of aerial and scissor lifts and the hazards associated with their use, as well as their inspection criteria, and safe work practices associated with aerial lift operation.
This course is designed specifically for non-electrical workers who typically use, apply and/or operate electrical equipment in the workplace or work in close proximity to overhead power lines.

The class begins with the in-class theory session, which takes between 3-4 hours, and gives participants the knowledge they need to identify hazards, properly inspect, and safely operate their Aerial Work Platforms.
