The department is led by Professor Frank Coffey. Our vision is to integrate research and education seamlessly with clinical practice. By promoting and enabling inter-professional development we aim to create teams that work together effectively to optimise patient care.
We have a reputation for delivering high quality educational programmes to healthcare professionals in community and clinical environments. We also train healthcare practitioners in the wider community in schools, leisure facilities, prisons and the military amongst others.

This class is a combined Communications and Modern Studies group where you will get the opportunity to develop your research and writing skills using the subject of social issues in the UK as the theme.
Marketing creates a direct connection between the brand and its consumers, suppliers, potential partners, new candidates and more. With research showing that people feel mispresented or unrepresented within brands’
We promote a broad education offer with a commitment to inclusiveness, cultural enrichment, health and wellbeing, and equality which improves social justice and community engagement; alongside which we offer highly focused education and training for employability, enterprise and skills development.
We offer training for individual professionals such as nurses, general practitioners, social care staff and health and social care teams. Often, these two areas are interrelated, but it might still make sense to focus on just one of the two areas first. Let’s talk about it.
