DREEAM is not just a department - it's a way of thinking

DREEAM is an academic department in the Urgent and Emergency Care directorate at the Queens Medical Centre (QMC), Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust, the site of the East Midlands regional Major Trauma Centre.

The department is led by Professor Frank Coffey. Our vision is to integrate research and education seamlessly with clinical practice. By promoting and enabling inter-professional development we aim to create teams that work together effectively to optimise patient care.

We have a reputation for delivering high quality educational programmes to healthcare professionals in community and clinical environments. We also train healthcare practitioners in the wider community in schools, leisure facilities, prisons and the military amongst others.

You can discover more about our educational programmes and course here, including bespoke training which can be delivered within your organisation. You can read about our current and past research projects here including local, national and international studies.
