This class is open to both aerial and pole students – from aspiring Lyra artists, pole dancers and those who just want to tone up!
What to Bring: For this class, come ready in leggings and a top that covers your armpits (to protect your skin from the apparatus).
Starting with just 2 poles in her parents garage, Jasmine Zapka’s passion has grown The Pole Room into a space that welcomes dancers and fitness enthusiasts of all shapes, sizes, genders, backgrounds and abilities.
Whether you are new to the world of pole or an experienced dancer looking to polish your skills in a safe learning environment, we have classes that will inspire you! Aerial silk (also known as aerial contortion, aerial ribbons, aerial silks, aerial tissues, fabric, ribbon, or tissu) as a type of performance in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a special fabric.
Aerial Silk is an aerial apparatus consisting of two pieces of fabric suspended from the ceiling. You will learn how to climb and wrap the silks to create various holds and “locks” around your body.
Aerial Silks Lessons are offered by Starstruck Dance and Cheerleading Academy Pakenham.

Aerial 101 is a workshop-style class that is designed for anyone who is new to aerial yoga. Join a small group class and get individual attention. Learn and experience the basics that you require for long term aerial yoga practice.
