Course Details

By the end of the course, candidates are able to explain the basic principles of the conventional ndt methods, identify the advantages and disadvantages of them, both in application and defect detection capability and perform basic hands-on applications. 

With this course, you will get familiar with the main conventional NDT methods (visual inspection, magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing, radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing and eddy current testing). The choice of method in relation to materials, defect type, position and weld geometry, and materials sorting methods is also discussed.

70 percent of the course involves practical demonstrations and candidates leave the class with hands-on experience with all techniques introduced during the training.

Everyone from entry-level technicians and fresh graduates to engineers, surveyors and inspectors requiring some hands-on experience with conventional methods of NDT can benefit from this course.
