Languages Offered
We offer courses of study in the following languages:
Arabic is the 6th most spoken language in the world and is spoken by more than 200 million people worldwide. As the language of the Qur’an, the holy book of Islam, it is also widely used throughout the Muslim world.
In this course, the student will be able to develop socially and culturally appropriate proficiency in interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes at the novice mid-level in Arabic. Note: Students must pass this course with a C or better to continue to ARA 1991. (4 hr. lecture)

This level of Arabic is meant for the complete beginner. In the course, students will learn how to read and write the Arabic letters, form words, and some basic vocabulary and phrases. Students wishing to take this course should have passed Beginning Arabic 100 be able to read and write in Arabic
