The establishment of an Arabic school was needed to fill the increasing demand of Cape Town Muslims that wanted to speak the Arabic language. In response to this demand Mahad al-Lugah al- Arabiyyah was established. A couple of dedicated students that graduated from some of the leading Islamic Universities around the world came together to establish an Arabic Institution to teach people the Arabic language the easy way for the sake of Allah.

This group of students who has a love for the Arabic language has embarked in imparting this love to others. This beautiful language brings about a sense of confidence that we as Muslims have the ability to understand our religion better in the original language that it was revealed in.

At times we overlook the fact that we as Muslims have engaged this language since a young age making it a bit easier to grasp. New Muslims to this beautiful religion thinks that Arabic is only for those who are born Muslims, but through the annals of history it has been proven that Allah makes it easy for those who truly wants to attain beneficial knowledge.

Studying abroad for years and coming back to the shores of Cape Town there was a need to educate the Muslim community young and old. And what better ways than to start with the very essence of this complete religion. Through Arabic many of Islamic sciences has been preserved and taught and unveiling the ability to understand it will bring about an insatiable thirst for knowledge.
