Arabic is a Semitic language spoken by over 420 million people worldwide, primarily in the Arab world. It is the official language of many countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Iraq, and is also a common second language in many other countries with large Arab populations.

Arabic is written from right to left and uses a script called the Arabic alphabet, which consists of 28 letters. It has a complex grammar system with a rich set of rules and forms, and is known for its rich literary tradition.
