Learning Arabic can help you better communicate with both Arabs and other Americans. By Arabic learning classes, you’ll have a better grasp of the Arab culture, including its religion: Islam. The more you know about these, the better equipped you’re apt to educate people about Arabs.

Arabic learning classes will make you stand out, as there are very few people from the West that speak Arabic. Having command of Arabic will make you appear clever and sophisticated. When you know Arabic, you’ll be able to have an easier time learning other languages spoken in the region, such as Farsi or Persian, Turkish, Urdu and even Hebrew.

Most of the vocabularies of these languages are derived from and similar to Arabic words so you will be able to quickly grasp the semantic and grammatical concepts of the other languages. Arabic is the official language of the 22 countries that form the Arab League.

There are more than 300 million Arabic speakers across the world, though they predominantly live in the region stretching across the Middle East and North Africa. It is also one of the six official languages of the United Nations (UN). Yet, in the UK, only one percent of the adult population can hold a basic conversation in Arabic.

Arabic is usually ranked among the top six of the world’s major languages. It belongs to the Semitic group of languages which also includes Hebrew and Amharic, the main language of Ethiopia. Arabic has influenced such languages of southern Europe as Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

It was formerly a language of Europe, being spoken for some 400 years in the Iberian peninsula. In case you have any questions or queries related to Arabic learning classes please contact us.
