Course Description
This module is mapped against A1 level in Arabic according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is for absolute beginners or students with very limited knowledge of the language.
No previous knowledge of Arabic is required. Students will develop a very basic competence in reading, writing, listening and speaking Arabic and an understanding of basic Arabic grammar. At the end of this module students will have reached a low A1 proficiency level in the CEFR and will be able to carry out very simple everyday tasks in Arabic.
They will be able to introduce themselves and others and ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they have.
They will be able to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help. They will have a basic understanding of significant aspects of life and culture of the country and intercultural skills necessary for their language proficiency level.

We want every child to understand and be familiar with the Arabic Language. Each child should be able to confidently and effectively communicate in the Arabic Language. The Arabic School Service uses a mixture of modern day Arabic in the curriculum and teachers also incorporate core words.
All our language classes are centered around our students and have been designed to develop practical language skills. Each course will run from September to May. Each week you will attend a two-hour class to help progress and consolidate your learning around the four core skills of listening.
