Arm knitting is a really fun, easy and therapeutic craft and you will be totally hooked once having a go! Suitable for absolute beginners and no previous crafty experience is required. All materials are included. This workshop also makes a wonderful gift for family and friends. Just print off the ticket and pop it in a card!

Take some well deserved time out at our tranquil craft studio in Meanwood Community Centre and choose from a range of exciting, high quality craft workshops.
Together we'll make a pair of fingerless mitts, learning all the basics of knitting along the way: how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off as well as seaming and weaving in the ends of your finished project.
We are very lucky to offer Knitting and Crochet classes in our Studio run by Made in Winchester, this lovely business is owned by the very talented Rebecca Miles.
This workshop will show how to design and make a needle case using a selection of decorative stitches on the sewing machine. And to save you searching for a needle to fill it, you’ll also receive a free packet of large-eyed needles to get you started.
Beginners CrochetIn this course, we will teach you the most commonly used crochet stitches, show you how to begin and finish a piece of crochet and talk about colour choices of yarns. You will learn how to read a crochet pattern, how to make granny squares.
Utilizing your knit, purl, and cast-on skills, you’ll be able to learn how to make these snuggly socks (although in class you will make a scaled-down version) learn how to knit the gusset, shape the heel and toe, and finally cast-off with Kitchener stitch.
