Course Delegate Specification

• All personnel involved in maintenance, repair, renovation and demolition industries where Asbestos may be present.

The Objectives Of The Course Are Enable Delegates To:

• Be aware in all areas of construction of the hazards of asbestos,

• Identification of Asbestos on site,

• The different types of Asbestos and the risks to health they present (increased risk to smokers),

• Typical areas where Asbestos may be found,

• The actions to be taken if Asbestos is found.

• Please note that the course does not cover the handling, removal or disposal of Asbestos.

• These activities are strictly regulated by law and must be carried out by specialist licensed contractors.

Training Method

• Highly participative by use of PowerPoint and Videos along with group exercises and individual assessment.

Certification

• Theory and test paper resulting in a certificate of attendance. UKATA accreditation available on request.
