Assertiveness is a life skill that can develop relationships, further our careers, reduce stress levels, and achieve more acceptable and mutually beneficial outcomes.
The approach
Our programme will ensure an understanding of exactly what assertive behaviour is and how it differs in impact from aggressive and passive behaviour.
The programme will then help participants to identify and anticipate the barriers to behaving assertively, and then to act more assertively in their interpersonal relationships. This leads on to developing different behaviours for handling conflict resulting in much more beneficial outcomes.
How would it work (in brief)?
Based on our established framework, a programme of development would be discussed and shaped to suit the requirements of you or the group of people you have in mind.
Once agreed, the delegate(s) would then be required to complete a simple pre-course questionnaire which would enable us to better understand and analyse their specific needs and make final adjustments to the programme to ensure an exact client – facilitator match.
