Assertiveness Skills Training Course Introduction

If you have to deal with difficult or strong-willed people in your workplace and are looking to improve your assertiveness this 1-day course is for you.

This Assertiveness course will give you the knowledge, tools and techniques that you can implement in a range of scenarios to help you communicate with people in a more authoritative manner.

You will gain increased self-esteem and confidence in your ability to deal with a variety of situations effectively, and the ability to deal with passive or aggressive people in an appropriate and positive manner.

Learn To Be More Assertive

Throughout this 1 day course, you will use a combination of theory alongside practical exercises to understand what it is to be assertive, why people act in different ways and how you can develop your communication skills.

You will look at different techniques and models that can be implemented to enable you to be more confident when communicating in various scenarios or with difficult people.

There will be opportunities to practise new behaviours in a safe and supportive environment so that you are fully equipped to take these new skills back to the workplace and implement them straight away.

You will be provided with a delegate manual to complete on the day and use as a reference after the course, along with 3 months of online support for any follow-up questions.

  • Identify the specific characteristics related to each behaviour

  • Understand why we need to be assertive and the benefits of this type of behaviour

  • Appreciate the theory of why people act in certain ways

  • Realise the ways to improve your face-to-face communication when being assertive

  • Build the skills so that you can be confident when having difficult conversations

  • Be able to demonstrate how to be assertive in a variety of situations

Assertiveness Course Day Details

Our 5-star rated Assertiveness training courses are practical courses with small class sizes, and a maximum of 6 delegates, allowing plenty of time to interact with the trainer and ask questions!
