Artisanal Pasta workshop are offered by Red Basket for all ages and skill level. The chef uses the best local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients to prepare deliciously healthy menus to please your well being, from exclusively vegetarian and vegans to those who eat a bit of everything.Â
In this workshop you will work with different wheat flours and explore pasta's regionality. You will come away with the sensorial markers needed to understand how to knead fresh pasta and roll it with a pasta machine or by hand.
Have you ever made fresh pasta? Most people think that it is a difficult process involving expensive equipment but that couldn’t be further from the truth. You can make your own Fettuccini with 4 basic ingredients, a rolling pin and a pizza cutter, or fresh ravioli using a round cookie cutter.
Learn to properly make and roll egg pasta dough. Then learn to fill and shape Tortellini, Agnolotti and Ravioli. Following class, you will have the option of cooking one of your pastas to enjoy, or boxing all of them up to take home!
