The department further encourages professional activity of the staff and students through SAE INDIA and also provides value added trainings, workshops and seminars to all the students to gain practical exposure in their area of interest.
Students are continuously encouraged to pursue individual projects which would enable them to enrich their technical skills and knowledge. We also ensure that each of our students go for an in-plant training during their summer and winter vacations.
The college owns an Inferno racing team which is being governed by expert staff members and industrial representatives from around the world. These forums provide the platform for students to enrich their knowledge in the automotive field and also to have an exposure to the recent trends in the automobile industry.
The college has been recognized as a “Scientific and Industrial Research Organization” (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. 5 Departments (CSE, ECE, EEE, MECH & PHYSICS) are recognized as Anna University Research Centres.

An Automotive Service Technician(Two Wheelers) is responsible for the repairing and servicing of 2 and 3 Wheel vehicles. The individual should have good understanding of vehicle structure and aggregates and systems of vehicles.
