This Award in Education and Teaching (AET) course is a great introduction to teaching and is ideal if you are looking to find out more about the sector before undertaking further teaching qualifications.
You will cover the basic principles of teaching and learning such as lesson planning, what assessment is and why it is carried out as well as consider the roles and responsibilities of a teacher. You will be a people person, a good communicator, work well as part of a team and have a keen interest in education and the sector itself.
Entry requirements
You should hold qualifications or appropriate experience in the subject area you wish to teach. If your application is successful you will need to complete an initial assessment and interview.
